I mainly communicate with my phone. When I say with my phone I mean a phone call itself. Not text or social media, just good old fashioned voice to voice communication. This context invokes a more real audience as people are more likely to say what they are thinking then typing it out. It also provides a more efficient way to communicate as people talk faster than they can type. I typically call my friends, girlfriend, and co-workers. This evokes an audience of people who know me, thus the communication is directly absent of small talk and open. There isn't any tension, rather a sense of familiarity. There are constraints to the phone call as well. People don't spend a ton of time on the phone because other people can overheard their conversation, as text is more private. Some changes to expand an invoked audience would be to switch to facetime as some are more comfortable with that. Or maybe go to text and call someone if they need further information or explanation.
